50 Guns

“I have always been fascinated by guns. Their sleekness, their shinyness, the elegance of their design. And guns know who they are. They do not experience existential doubt. Whatever happens the gun is still a gun”. 50 guns. 50 deaths. But some are too painful to re-visit.

This version of 50 Guns was first presented as part of the Source Festival in Washington DC on June 7, 2013, directed by Ali Miller and starring Kathryn M Ryan (pictured). The play is also a part of Gun Control Theatre Action, a group of plays being read around the USA and the world to promote greater gun control. For more information go to www.theatreaction.org
